Description

Buy blanched almonds – original from Greece

If you want to buy blanched Greek almonds directly from the farmer in Kavala, they still come with their natural inner skin. Because almonds, like chestnuts and pistachios, have a double shell.

They are harvested by hand in the Thracian region and dried directly in the Greek sun. As soon as the outer shell opens, the actual almond falls out, is dried and then cracked open. The processing facility where the almonds are opened is literally translated from Greek as "almond nutcracker".

We guarantee you 100% untreated almond kernels, because we know their producers personally and therefore know that our fruits have not been sulphured or preserved in any other way.

Naturally, as they are, they can be wonderfully eaten as a snack, used for cooking and baking or mixed into your morning muesli. And even for making your own almond milk, Greek almonds from ARISTOS are well suited.

Greek almonds directly from the producer

Direkt vom Aristos Erzeuger
  • Fresh annual harvest
  • Direct cooperation with the producer
No industrial product
  • Natural agriculture
  • Natural drying
  • No post-treatment to extend shelf life

Two tips on how to enjoy raw almonds:

1. Make your own roasted almonds (with salt):

Roasted almonds are a fine thing and a delicious and healthy substitute for crisps. Also as a change from our delicious roasted pistachios with salt. Here's how to roast and salt almonds yourself:

  1. Preheat the oven to 100 ° C
  2. Wet the almonds with a pump spray, or hold the almonds under running water and pat them dry with a paper towel/lint-free towel
  3. Sprinkle some salt over the wet almond kernels
  4. Place the almonds on a baking sheet (rack or baking sheet with baking paper)
  5. Leave the almonds in the oven for about 10 min
  6. Top/bottom heat or convection is not relevant.

It is important that you taste the roasted almonds after no more than 10 minutes and decide for yourself whether they are crispy enough or not.

Your roasted almonds (with salt) are ready – enjoy your meal!

2. Make your own fresh almond milk from Greek almonds:

In addition to the main ingredients almonds and water, you will need a good blender and a lint-free towel if you want to separate the almond pieces from the "almond water".

It's that easy to make homemade almond milk:

  1. Place almonds in water and soak overnight
  2. Put almonds in the blender and blend as finely as the blender allows
  3. Wait until the nut paste has settled, or
  4. Pour the almond water into a lint-free towel and drain into a bowl

Your almond milk is ready – enjoy your drink!

Make your own almond milk or roasted almonds with salt

For homemade almond milk, in addition to almonds and water, you will need a good blender and a lint-free towel to separate the almond pieces from the "almond water." After soaking our Greek almonds in plenty of water overnight, you put them in a blender or food processor and chop them as finely as possible. Then it's a matter of waiting until the sticky almond paste has settled at the bottom of the container - or, as mentioned, you drain the almond water through a lint-free towel into a bowl and can enjoy the delicious almond milk immediately.

But roasted blanched almonds are also a fine thing - and making them yourself is much healthier than always buying crisps. To do this, you first need to preheat the oven to 100°C and in the meantime spray the almonds with water from a pump spray bottle or hold them under running water and then pat them dry with kitchen paper. Then sprinkle some salt over the still slightly wet almond kernels and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Now put them in the oven for about ten minutes, regardless of whether it is set to top and bottom heat or convection. More importantly, after this time at the latest, taste your roasted almonds - and decide whether they are crispy enough for you yet.

Greek almonds arrive untreated without a stopover

They are unsalted, unradiated and unsulphured, so you can process them without hesitation for baking, snacking or many other uses. Blanched almonds, which still have their natural inner skin, can be bought from us in packs of 200 g, 500 g or 1000 g.
