Naturtrübes Olivenöl Aristos

Our homemade olive oil from Trikorfo

The secret behind our aromatic olive oil lies in the details: stony soil, hand-picked Koroneiki olives, and daily cold extraction in the most modern olive oil mill in our region in Trikorfo, a small village in the Messenian mountains. Our olive oil comes from our own cultivation and from adjacent olive groves of olive farmers whom we have known and valued for decades. As a family business, everyone helps out when it comes to the harvest.

Our ecological principles of mixed cropping and the conscious avoidance of insecticides ensure sustainably healthy soil. These factors produce a tasty, cold-pressed, unfiltered olive oil, which you can conveniently buy online from us. It also impresses with excellent analysis values and a very high olive oil polyphenol content.

Sustainability is a top priority for us; our production chain is short and transparent. Since our olive oil is obtained from our own cultivation, the production chain consists of the olive farmers and us as manufacturers, importers, and bottlers. This guarantees: Our bottles contain only unfiltered olive oil without blending. Extra virgin olive oil cannot be purer!

In Greece, we are committed to working as sustainably and chemical-free as possible. With this, we want to build a foundation that motivates many other producers to promote organic farming in Greece. Since we also want to continuously develop ourselves, we are currently in the process of getting our organic farming certified. Chemical tests required for this to check the quality of our olive oil also test for mineral oil hydrocarbons (known as MOSH, POSH, and MOAH). The analyses have shown that our olive oil is inconspicuous. We do everything for high quality and health!

A quality product with a convincing taste

There are countless factors that influence the quality and taste of olive oil. This can be compared to wine, for example. Here, the growing region and the grape variety are decisive for the taste of the wine. If the same grape variety is grown in a different location, the taste can vary completely. The wine can also show slight taste differences from year to year.

The same applies to olive oil. In our opinion, the variety and cultivation region alone are not responsible for the quality and digestibility of olive oil. Essentially, there are many other equally important factors. Below, we have summarized the key elements that are crucial for a good harvest and production:

  • Variety and cultivation region
  • Condition of the trees & pruning
  • Harvest time
  • Storage of the olive fruits between harvest and processing
  • Processing speed
  • Purity of the olive fruits
  • Cleanliness of the oil mill
  • Bottling & storage

All factors must be coordinated in advance. In addition, several annual checks are necessary to monitor the condition of the trees and olive fruits. As olive farmers and olive oil producers, we are therefore on-site several times a year and, together with the specialists from Trikorfo, take care of our trees. This also includes an audit and strict controls on the agricultural status of our partners. For the documentation of our agriculture, we follow the guidelines of Naturland.
