This lemon-golden white wine, a blend of Roditis and Sauvignon Blanc grape varieties, impresses with its classic aromas of gooseberry and grassy notes. The lively and balanced finish is particularly pleasant. It is well suited as an aperitif for the first course of any meal. Particularly recommended as an accompaniment to seafood, poultry or salad with tomato and cheese. This aromatic wine is best enjoyed at 8-10°C in a small tulip-shaped glass for young, fresh wines.
The "Mesimvria Winery" is located in northern Greece. The picturesque village where the vines are cultivated is called "Nea-Mesimvria" and is located 20 km northwest of the metropolis of Thessaloniki. The village is situated on a hill overlooking the Thermaikos Gulf. The two sommeliers Theo and Perikles built the winery in 1996, driven by the vision of creating the best wines in Greece.
Their portfolio includes red and white dry wines and organically grown wines (control number EL 02 Bio). The grape varieties cultivated by the winery are Roditis and Malagousia (Greek varieties), Shiraz, Merlot Sauvignon Blanc & Cabernet Sauvignon. All wines come from Greece and are not blended with wines from other wineries. The maturation and storage of the wines takes place directly in Nea-Mesimvria, in the underground cellar of the winery.
