Authentic Greek FETA Cheese made from Sheep and Goat Milk

Feta cheese has been a traditional Greek food since ancient times. Even then, cheese was made from sheep and goat milk and matured in brine. Why do we call our FETA original? It's simple: Due to its protected designation of origin and precise geographical indication, our sheep's cheese can be called FETA. The origin of our Feta is the beautiful Messini in the south of the Peloponnese. This delicious cheese is made from sheep and goat milk. The milk itself has been pasteurized in accordance with regulations. The cheese is delivered exclusively by DPD FOOD and wrapped with cooling pads. For better shelf life and protection against transport damage, we currently only offer vacuum-packed Feta cheese.

Keeping FETA cheese fresh: It's that easy with homemade brine

How can you make Feta cheese last longer if you can't eat it within 10 days? Also solved very easily. You make your own brine. Add 5% salt by weight of the water to the storage box – that's it. Put the Feta cheese in the brine and store it in the refrigerator, and the cheese's lifespan has multiplied. The cheese is not hard like, for example, Myzithra/Parmesan or hard cheeses in general. You can effortlessly break off and eat a piece of Feta cheese with a fork. If you are looking for a harder and possibly more flavorful alternative, then SFELA cheese is an attractive change.

Frisch verarbeitet – bevor der Tag vorbei ist

Was morgens geerntet wird, kommt noch am selben Tag in die Mühle oder in die Manufaktur. Ob Olivenöl, Aufstriche oder eingelegte Oliven – wir verarbeiten alles in kleinen Mengen, nach traditionellen Rezepten, ohne Umwege über Zwischenhändler.
